Parish priest’s message
Dear Parishioners, well-wishers and friends.
Greetings from Christ the King church Venur. It is with great joy and gratitude that I welcome you to the new website of Venur Parish. It brings joy to all of us to inaugurate the church website on the occasion of Pastoral visit by Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha our beloved Bishop of the Diocese of Manalore.
I am glad to say that 58 children have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. I congratulate them all. May God bless them with a good life, full of love, joy and contentment. May you always stay in your faith and trust in His plan. I sincerely thank our Bishop for giving the Sacrament of Confirmation to our children. May the Lord bless him good health to lead the flock entrusted to him.
Today we live in a Global family. When I say ‘Global family’ communication has made us close and closer and more connected to each other. Parish is a family. The family grows when there is proper understanding among its members. Through this new-look Parish website www.venurchurch.in we would like to share all our activities and upcoming programs with everyone. This Parish is blessed with mixed group of people, adding colour, beauty and vibrancy to the church.
As Catholic we are committed to inviting and supporting every parishioner to become a disciple of Christ building God’s Kingdom through prayer, service and outreach to others in faith. Our Parish comprising 6 Wards, 211 families and 913 members has been a source of inspiration. Nearly 65 Priests and Religious Sisters have emerged from our parish to serve in His vineyard. Let’s appreciate all that the Parish has accomplished in the last 87 years for the greater glory of God. We must use this blessing to serve God by serving one another. We must allow Jesus, the King of Kings to rule our hearts and minds. Let Christ be the King of every family.
On this mode, on behalf of Parish Pastoral Parishad, Parish Finance Parishad and Parishioners I thank our web designer Mr, Rajesh Menezes and all those who are instrumental in this task. I wish all the readers to benefit from this site and cherish the beautiful memories of our Parish activities. I will be very happy if you give us your feedback to improve the site.
May Christ the King reign in our hearts and we are privileged that our Parish is named after Him.
With God’s blessings and best wishes !
Rev. Fr. Peter Aranha
